Tuesday nights
Drop-off, check-in & pick-up
- Drop-off: please arrive close to 7:00 PM. Students should not be dropped off before 6:45 PM, when leaders are still setting up.
- Check-in: every student checks in at the welcome table when they arrive, using the church's check-in system.
- Pick-up: the night wraps up at 8:30 PM after free time. Please pick up on time; students wait inside until their ride arrives.
- Phones: students can bring phones, but we encourage them to put them away during worship, the message and small groups.

Events & trips
Registration & permission
- Events, outings and trips are announced on the Announcements page with the date, time, location, cost and what to bring.
- Sign-ups for trips and paid events happen through Church Center, the church's sign-up app. The link is posted in each announcement. All church sign-up forms.
- Off-site events and overnight trips require a parent/guardian permission form and current emergency & medical information.
- For outings like the Corn Maze, parents usually handle drop-off and pick-up at the venue. Each announcement says exactly where and when.
- For trips, food, transportation and lodging details — plus a packing list — are posted on the Camp & Trips page.
Staying informed
How we communicate
This website is our one official source for announcements. We moved off of Viber so that every family can see the same information without needing a particular app.
- New events are posted as soon as the details are confirmed — usually at least 1–2 weeks ahead.
- Reminders and practical details (what to bring, pick-up) are added a few days before.
- Cancellations or changes are posted at the top of the Announcements page.
- Each announcement has a Share button so you can forward it to another parent by text.
- The whole site is available in Russian — tap RU at the top of the page. Your choice is remembered next time.
- Follow @cityhill.teens on Instagram for photos and reminders.
Safety & care
Your teen is in good hands
- Activities are supervised by adult leaders who complete City Hill's application and background check.
- Student leaders help serve, but always under adult direction — they never replace adult supervision.
- On trips we use a buddy system and headcounts at every transition. Boys and girls stay in separate rooms with leaders of the same gender.
- Small-group sharing is never forced. Serious concerns are handled privately by the Teens Director following church policy.
- Photos follow City Hill's media guidelines. If you would like a photo of your teen removed from the photo albums, just let us know.
FAQ
Common questions
My teen is new and doesn't know anyone. What should we expect?
Come a few minutes early and check in at the welcome table. Our leaders and student helpers watch for new students so nobody sits alone. Small groups are small (2–3 students) and nobody is ever pressured to share.
You can also look through our photo albums to see what a night is like.
Can my teen bring a friend?
Yes, please! Friends are always welcome on Tuesdays and at most events. Parties like Friendsgiving and the Christmas Party are great nights to invite someone new. For trips with limited space, check the announcement.
Do we need to attend CityHill Church?
No. Any middle school student is welcome at Teens. We would love to meet your family, too — as the church likes to say, the first time you're a guest, the second time you're family.
What happens on a normal Tuesday?
Welcome and prayer, worship, a short Bible message, small-group discussion, prayer, and then games, Snack Shack and free time. See About for the full flow.
How do I sign my teen up for an event or trip?
Each event announcement has its own sign-up link. Church sign-ups go through Church Center, the church's free sign-up app — you can also find them on the church's Sign Up Forms page.
What if Teens is cancelled (weather, holidays)?
Any cancellation will be posted at the top of the Announcements page as soon as we know. Severe-weather policy: e.g. "If Northshore schools close for snow, Teens is cancelled."
Can my teen serve or help lead?
Yes. Students can join the Student Serve Team in areas like setup, Snack Shack, welcome, games, tech, worship and media. See Get Involved.
